Preserve your evidence before it's gone

Telegram groups get deleted, websites go dark, and tweets disappear. A practical checklist for capturing what you have right now.

The single biggest reason a legitimate rug-pull claim ends up in 'Needs More Evidence' isn't that the loss wasn't real. It's that the proof of what was promised disappeared before anyone thought to save it. Project teams that pull a rug almost always delete their Telegram group, take down the website, and scrub their social accounts within hours.

If you suspect something is wrong right now, before you do anything else: screenshot the project's Telegram or Discord, specifically any messages about liquidity locks, roadmap promises, or team identity. Screenshot the pinned messages and the admin list. Screenshot the project's website, including the whitepaper or tokenomics page if there is one. A full-page screenshot or a save via your browser's 'print to PDF' both work.

Screenshot the project's X/Twitter profile and any tweets that made specific claims (audits, partnerships, locked liquidity, KYC'd team). Note the exact URL and timestamp of anything you capture. A screenshot without a timestamp is weaker evidence than one with it.

On the blockchain side, save your wallet's transaction history for the purchase and any subsequent transactions. Most wallets let you export this, or you can look up your wallet address on the relevant block explorer (Etherscan, Solscan, BscScan) and save the transaction hashes directly. These are permanent regardless of what the project team deletes, which is why wallet verification is the one piece of evidence in an intake case that's essentially impossible to lose once you have the hash.

None of this needs to be perfectly organized before you start a case with us. The intake wizard has a dedicated evidence-upload stage, and you can keep adding to it after you submit. The only genuinely time-sensitive part is capturing anything that a project team could delete before you get to it.
